In the summer of 2011 we received an email about a Dalmatian lady. Her elderly owner wasn’t able to look after her any longer because her circumstances had changed.
The relatives couldn’t adopt nor foster the dog so they asked us to find a home for Fura.
Fura is an elderly lady and she needed a surgery, too. Unfortunately no one has shown any interest in her so far.
Her carers managed to find a place for Fura, well, not in a family, but they walk her every day and so the loyal dog wasn’t left alone. They take care of her health and she was taken to the vets, as well. A few weeks later they asked our help again to be able to operate her breast tumour. We organized a fundraising for Fura and just before Christmas a generous supporter transferred the cost of surgery to the HDR’s bank account.
We would like to thank them this way for giving Fura another chance.
Fura visited the veterinarian in the past days. According to the bloodtest results she is in great shape and her condition is sufficient enough to go through with the surgery. This playful and lovely Dalmatian lady will be sterilized this Thursday.
