10.02.2017. – Lapaj is recovering from the neutering surgery
Lapaj absorbed neutering without the slightest sting and he feels much better 
Once his sutures are removed he is allowed to play again with his dog mates. We really hope he will also put on height soon! Last time at the vet a heartworm examination was also done and fortunately it is negative! 
Well done Lapaj, keep it up!

09.02.2017. – Breaking news about Lapaj
We’ve visited the veterinary with Lapaj (thanks again for the ride to Hella!) due to his recurring diarrhoea and the tumor that Bori found on him. Fortunately the tumor is absolutely harmless but he has lost weight again. 
Because of his serious Prostatitis and weight loss, neutering will be done this Friday urgently. Although Lapaj is old, it is essential for him and fortunately the blood test and ultrasonic examination allows the vet to do it.
Neutering for a male dog is routine, only a teeny-weeny cut, he will not feel anything from it. 
But due to his recurring diarrhoea we need to consider a special veterinary food.
Our financial capacity is limited! Clyde also needs special feeding and has other extra costs like dog hotel. We CAN DO IT ONLY WITH YOUR HELP!

Thank you for all the donations to Lapaj, it is extremely helpful!
A special thanks to Hella for her conscientious drives for Lapaj and Aunt Bori (who gives shelter to our elderly protégé) to the veterinary! The most important thing for such an elderly dog is a calm home with family atmosphere which cannot be insured without Bori. This is the perfect example of the love and joy a elderly dog can give to his/her carer.
Beside the above mentioned helpers we would like to say thanks to all of you who help us on a monthly basis. WE CAN DO IT ONLY TOGETHER!
Lapaj had to visit the vet on Monday because he is suffering from diarrhoea again. Furthermore Aunt Bori found a worrisome tumor on him. 
:/ We will surely keep you updated as always!

25.01.2017. – We’ve visited the vet with Lapaj for further tests
We are very thankful for the ride for Hella!
Lapaj’s leg is healing fast and the sutures will be removed this week. Prostatitis and cysts on his prostate was diagnosed by ultrasonic examination. Our vet suggested neutering which will be done after his full recovery.

22.01.2017. – News and photos about Uncle Lapaj
We are very pleased that not just we but you have also become attached to the 13-years-old Lapaj. Hella, our volunteer photographer visited Aunt Bori and Lapaj last weekend and she shot fantastic pics of him!
Beside his leg is healing, a thyorid glang function test will be done this week in order to find out the root cause of his pathological loss of weight although he has ravenous appetite.

His leg is healing and his bandage was changed which should be repeated on every second days.
He is taking painkillers and antibiotics. Unfortunately due to his blood typing results and pathological loss of weight further tests needs to be done. First of all a thyroid gland function test is recommended. We really would like to support the recovery of Lapaj but our capacity is limited.

18.01.2017. – Lapaj is in our care
13-year-old Dalmatian male Lapaj was transferred to our Association from his previous protectors ‘Fény az Állatokért Állat- és Természetvédő Egyesület’ (Light for Animals Association of Animal Rights and Wildlife Conservation) who rescued him from his previous owners.
He is living at her temporary carer, an elderly, retired lady, Aunt Bori who loves Lapaj very much but her financial condition is limited. Unfortunately Lapaj has a couple of health problems due to his older age and the Lady cannot afford to provide medicines, food supplements and medical examinations to him at the same time.
This is why we decided to help them and take over their support from Light for Animals Association. Thank you for their assistance until now!
Lapaj
Lapaj has a very good time at Aunt Bori but he is allergic for dog food containing chicken and has sensitive stomach so he must be fed by special dog food. Due to his age food supplements and vitamins are also necessary. Of course we provided them this entire staff .
Unfortunately a couple of days ago Lapaj has suffered a serious leg injury so he needed immediate medical assistance. Aunt Bori has no car so Lapaj was taken to the vet by ‘Walt Kisállat Taxi’ (Walt Pet Taxi).We would like to say thanks to them and to ‘Délpesti Állatgyógyászati Központ’ (South-Pest Veterinary Centre) for the immediate actions!
Beside his leg examination, plaque removal, common laboratory tests and biochemical analysis was also reasonable. We already received the results of the tests and unfortunately he is suffering from all the old-age problems. Further tests are also needed to be done.
We’re fully aware that Lapaj is old and only a bother for some people but Aunt Bori loves him very much and we know he deserves a chance! So we were taking responsibility throughout his life.
In order to go on with this mission, we are in a sore NEED OF YOUR HELP, because WE CAN MAKE IT ONLY TOGETHER!
The estimated cost of all the above examinations and foods is more than 100.000 HUF(300euro) and it is just the beginning. Our capacity is also limited especially beside Clyde who also needs to be fed by special dog food due to his similar intolerance.
