Perdita, the 3 year-old Dalmatian-mix lady was handed to the HEROSZ Budapest animal shelter by her owners for family reasons. This lovely, attentive and cute girl was adopted in March 2012.

Soma (Sam), the 1,5-2 year-old Dalmatian-mix boy was wandering around Gyenesdiás until a couple of helpful people found him. He was taken to the Bogány animal shelter in Zalaegerszeg. A few days have passed when he caught the eye of someone, who adopted him immediately.

Endzsi
This 7 year-old Dalmatian lady NEEDS A FOSTERHOME RIGHT NOW! She is a healthy, friendly, housebroken dog, whose owners are moving to a new home these days and they are not allowed to take Endzsi with them. She has a very nice nature, she loves to be around people and gets on very well with other dogs, cats and children, too.
The costs will be financed by her present owner until her situtation gets better in the future. She intends to take Engie back as soon as she finds an appropriate home.

Paca, the 6 year-old purebred Dalmatian male needs a sweet home!

His owner moved abroad and he left Paca at his house. The renters fed him but they had no time to deal with him. Paca spent his days in his smaller kennel without physical exercise and outer stimuli. We took over him in March 2012 before he could have been euthanised. We placed him in a foster home in Kiskőrös, where he can move freely in a bigger yard and he is allowed to meet other dogs.
Paca is a special dog as he was born deaf. He understands hand signs and he remembers these after years of no practice. He sits down, goes to his place and gives hiw paw. He lived closed in a kennel for years therefore he is relatively distrustful with new stimuli. When something unusual happens he tends to hide in his snug and it is quite hard to make him come out of it. Due to the lack of physical exercise he has a weak musculature and there are several pressure sores on his body from lying too long. These need to be treated.
Paca is reserved dog, distrustful with strangers in the beginning. Over the past weeks he built up strong bond with his carer, at the moment he is the only one Paca trusts. He needs more time to ease up with people. Otherwise he is friendly and longs for human company. Due to his deafness he pays a lot more attention to people and uses his nose very well. Loves running and playing with a ball. Has no problem travelling by car.
It might be helpful if Paca had a dog friend to whom he can pay attention during the walks and other programs.
Recommended as a second dog to a female company or as a single dog.
Not recommended for families with children.
Paca needs an assertive and impatient owner who leaves him enough time to open up and gives him security and stability in his life.
Paca has a pedigree, vaccinations and a microchip. Adoptable after castration.

Lisa was spayed on the 2nd of March. She coped with the surgery very well and she is feeling great now. She just can’t wait to have some fun, though she’s not allowed to run around the garden and play with Monty yet. Lisa is convalescing in her foster home and her keeper has already indicated his intention to adopt her.

Lisa’s surgery was supported by the Dalmatiner in not Österreich. We are truly thankful for their generous help!

Perdi, the 8 years old Dalmatian and Greyhound mix lady has been adopted

The Hungarian Dalmatian Rescue is a young association. In the past two months we have taken over 7 Dalmatians!

The medical treatments and secure fostering of the previous 6 dogs (Monty, Lisa, Lilly (Heidi), Perdita_cs, Pongo_cs and Polly) have consumed our scarce financial reserves.
We do not have the sources to care of Tenor and Paca (both need vaccinations, microchip, health check and more for Paca: dog pension, castration)!
If you have the possibility to support our association, even with a few Euros, please be so kind to donate us.

2012. januárjában megkerestek minket három dalmata ügyében, akik Csepelen éltek  sajnos elég szűkös körülmények között. Polly, az idős szuka orvosi kezelésre szorult, segítségünkkel rövidesen az osztrák fajtamentő partnerünk gondozásába került. Perdita, a játékos fiatal hölgy és Pongó, a megfontolt öregúr hamar felkeltette egy kedves család figyelmét. Már az első találkozásnál szemmel látható volt az összhang. Pongót a gyerekek és a család meglévő kutyái is örömmel fogadták, s a tekintélyes Kapitány nevet kapta. Perdita az ivartalanítási műtétet követően költözhetett új otthonába. Kendinek nevezték el, s nem telt bele sok idő, hogy a család kis hercegnőjévé váljon.

SOS!!! We need urgent financial help!

Tenor (originally Pongo) is now fostered by our association. He needs a microchip, vaccinations and a basic medical examination. All this will cost around 15.000 Ft (~ €52). Please, support him!

The Austrian Dalmatian Rescue took over Polly from us. At first they visited the veterinarian since the surgery couldn’t wait. She was suffering from hernia, which was removed and she was sterilized at the same time. Polly is doing fine now and she is convalescing in her foster home. She often gives that cute Dalmatian smile to her tender when her yummy meat&rice dinner is being prepared.
Polly loves to be close to people, she raves for love and she has become a real couch dog, who does deserve attention and care.
We are grateful for the help that arrived from the Dalmatiner in Not Österreich!

Kitty, the Dalmatian lady rescued from the animal shelter of Debrecen, spent long months in foster homes in the course of 2011. As it turned out, it was worth waiting for her new owners, since she found a loving home near Vienna. She is now the apple of the eye of a nice Austrian veterinarian and her family.
Kitty was sterilized soon after her adoption and her training began after her recovery. Today, she is trained by one of the best Viennese dog trainers. Her family works a lot with her, too, so it’s not surprising that Kitty walks fine off the leash, even in the woods. She is an obedient, happy girl and she feels great in her sweet home.

Sunday, Nagykovácsi
Some members of the Hungarian Dalmatian Rescue participated at the 11 km-long day tour starting from Nagykovácsi. They had lots of fun in the company of their fourlegged fellows and they didn’t let the freezing cold ruin their good mood (though they covered altogether 17 kms during the tour). Our spotted angels pridely wore their colourful pullowers and they found the cute earmuffs particularly useful.
We hope to greet you, too, on our future excursions/tours!

We are raising funds for the sterilization of Monty and Lisa, the Dalmatian couple rescued from the animal shelter of Debrecen. The surgery will cost 28.000 Ft (~ €96). Any small amount counts!

Panka needs a home!
This 2 year-old Dalmatian-mix girl was found in Bakonycsernye (23 November 2011).
She was pregnant when they found her. She was taken to the the ASKA animal rescue center, where they sterilized her.
Panka walks well on a leash. She is an energetic dog, requires daily exercise but she enjoys to be around people, too.

The PCAS animal rescue association lended us a big crate for Monty and Lisa. They got used to their new sleeping place within a second and they just love to nestle in it together. “Lisa doesn’t really want to leave the box, unless we offer her some food.” – our volunteer told us. The two fellows are doing very well to become flat-compatible dogs. We are grateful for the box, which is a huge help for Monty, Lisa and our team member, who takes care of them alone. Thank you!

Polly egy szomorú tekintetű, kissé molett 7 éves dalmata szuka komoly sérvvel élte napjait egy szűkös kennelben. A téli hideg megviselte idős szervezetét, sürgős segítségre volt szüksége. Az állatorvosi ellátást követően az osztrák fajtamentők vették át segítségünkkel. Pollyt megműtötték (ivartalanítás és a sérv eltávolítása), ma már jól van, előbújt vidám dalmatás énje.
Osztrák ideiglenes befogadójánál keresi új családját a Dalmatiner in Not Österreich gondozásában.
